Oggi è il 3 luglio, e il 3 luglio di 14 anni fa moriva Alexander Langer. Mi sono rimesso a leggere alcune sue cose sul sito della fondazione a suo nome e mi sono reso conto che, negli ultimi quattordici anni, nessuno più ha scritto o detto in Italia cose così attente, lucide e giuste. Si dice tanto che ora il PD sia in cerca di un suo Obama. Io credo che lo avessimo già e che si chiamava Alex Langer.

Insomma, per farla breve, io non so chi sarà il prossimo segretario del PD e non so quanto mi possa entusiasmare la sfida che si sta delineando ora. So però che il PD ha un bisogno disperato di un sistema di valori coerente sulla base del quale far partire una proposta politica per il paese (vogliamo dire che ha bisogno un’ideologia?). Più che trovare chi funzioni meglio in televisione, credo che il PD ora abbia bisogno di trovare i propri “testi fondamentali”. E credo che quelli di Alexander Langer possano essere un ottimo punto di partenza.

Lì dentro c’è un idea di società che parla al cuore e alla testa, che non ha paura dell’immigrazione, ma che sa anche che la convivenza non è facile, che insegna ad affrontare ogni caso nella sua specificità, che spiega che la multietnicità non è un opzione, ma una realtà. Ci si può convivere bene oppure male. Che non insegue la destra nelle sue paure con soluzioni sbagliate, ma spiega che ad essere sbagliata è la paura stessa.

C’è un’idea che, dieci anni prima del PD, amalgama in un pensiero coerente le due anime del PD. Una profondamente cristiana, che parla di un’etica che riguarda se stessi e quello che si può fare per gli altri e un’altra sociale (vogliamo dire socialista?), che spiega, senza idealismi, come una società più equa è semplicemente più logica e funzionale. Per tutti. Poi potrebbe anche diventare secondario chi è il segretario del PD.

  1. Una società più equa non è affatto più funzionale. E’ una società destinata al fallimento. Ed è logica solo se si parte da un’ideologia, quella socialista.

  4. Dirò una roba qualunquista: ai dirigenti del PD non gliene frega niente di lavorare per costruire qualcosa.
    Ops, forse qualunquista era dire che “quelli lì sono tutti uguali”.
    Merda, m’è scappata una verità.

  5. Gli elettori non hanno idee chiare, e i dirigenti seguono linee che non sono delineate.
    Veltroni era per il dialogo e non andava (ovviamente) bene, Franceschini un po’ critica, ma non va bene.

    Il problema è che manca l’ideale, a sinistra come a destra, in Italia, abbiamo solo visi.
    E diq uesto si deve ringraziare ancora una volta Berlusconi, che ha creato quello che Sartori chiama l’homo videns.
